Eco protestors plan M25 road chaos this weekend with series of illegal raves
ECO protesters plan road chaos this weekend with a series of illegal raves.
Insulate Britain activists are uniting with anarchy groups to party around the M25 on Saturday at midday.
The demos, at four unnamed locations, are aimed at highlighting the developments on oil and gas price rises and the cost-of-living crisis in general.
Dancing eco warriors face jail for breaching a ban on protesting on the London orbital.
The “Staying Alive on the M25” bash has been set up via Facebook with around 380 people vowing to attend.
Insulate Britain, which organised blockades on roads last year, is not the instigator of the raves but says it is “inspired by the campaign”.
A spokesman added: “We are aware Insulate Britain supporters will be in attendance.”
Tory MP Jonathan Gullis said: “Yet again a minority of the crusty wokerati are willing to endanger others by doing something utterly reckless on one of the nation’s busiest motorways.
“This will cause chaos for thousands of families coming home after a break following a tough two years.

Dr Paul Stott, from think tank Policy Exchange, said: “The rave will cause misery for drivers and a diversion of resources.”

Nicola Bell, from Highways England, said: “We will work with police and other partners to limit the effects of protests.”
