Boy, 12, borrows his parents’ car and drives 125 miles to visit grandparents
A 12-year-old boy was on the wrong end of a severe ticking off after borrowing his parents’ car and driving 125 miles to see his grandparents.
The unnamed lad had told his grandma and grandpa that he would come and visit them.
But eventually he got sick of waiting and pinched his parents’ motor on Thursday night.
His mum and dad alerted cops after their car – along with their son and his 13-year-old pal – went missing.
He was found to have driven all the way from his family home in Limbach-Frohnau, Germany, to the southern city of Bamberg.
Stretching 125 miles, his route included a spell on the autobahn – the German motorway which famously has no speed limit.

Amazingly, he made the entire journey without getting into an accident.
And his gamble seemed to pay off as he got to spend the night at his grandparents – and he won’t be prosecuted as he’s under the age of 14.
A police spokesperson told The Local: “Luckily nothing happened – which is quite unlikely if a kid gets into a motor vehicle and drives for a few kilometres, let alone for 200 kilometres.”
