Car packed with gas cylinders found parked outside packed synagogue – just a week after thwarted ISIS Notre Dame attack
A CAR packed with gas cylinders has been found parked outside a synagogue in Marseilles.
This comes just a week after another car with seven gas containers was left outside the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Police called that finding an ISIS-inspired terror plot, as the canisters were with three containers full of petrol which might have been used to set the car on fire.
According to local media reports the suspicious vehicle was found today in the southern French city at about 11am.
The Bar Yohaye synagogue was holding a service for dozens of people at the time.
The area was evacuated after two gas canisters were found in the car.

An investigation is now underway.
Laurent Nuñez, the police commissioner of the Bouches-du-Rhône region, said no detonation mechanism was found.
A British woman staying nearby watched in horror as cops unloaded numerous gas cylinders from its boot.
She said: “There was all this commotion.
“Police were everywhere and you could see loads of cylinders being taken and put in the road.
“The car was parked right outside a row of restaurants. It was pretty scary.”
France is already on high alert after a number of attacks where hundreds of people have been killed in the last few years.
Places of worship have already been targeted by terrorists, included a church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray where a priest was beheaded.
In May, Patrick Calvar, the head of France’s DGSI internal security agency, said he was confident ISIS would "reach the stage of car bombs".
