£100k supercar covered in black VELVET is spotted on the streets of London – and it shows plenty of dirt!
The flashy Porsche even had personalised plates saying 'Well Get'
A FLASHY Porsche wrapped in black velvet has been snapped getting filthy in London – but at £100,000 the owner can afford a car wash.
The Porsche Panamera Turbo has been wrapped in velvet and even has the number plate ‘Well Get’.
But the supercar comes at a price. A normal Panamera will cost buyers between £80,000 and £100,000.
Adding a velvet wrap costs around £2,500.
The luxury car might look flashy but it couldn’t survive on the streets of central London today as these shots show.
Its velvet wrap ended up covered in dust and grime from the capital and left it looking less than pristine.
The owner isn’t the first driver to get a velvet finish to their supercar.
In 2013, a Porsche owner got their Panamera turbo wrapped into the soft material and showcased it in London.
The driver, from East Grinstead, was the first in the country to get the £2,500 design.
The wrap is coated with special adhesives and durable textile fibers to withstand severe weather conditions.
But it needs changing every three years and can only be cleaned by hand or by using a jet wash.
Richard Clark, managing director of Raccoon who fitted the wrap, said at the time: “It’s a Marmite thing, but the owner loves it.”
Even Khloe Kardashian has got in on the act. The reality star wrapped her Range Rover in velvet last year.
Khloe posted a picture of the car on Instagram with the caption: “Beast!!!!! @selfmaderyan told me to trust him and he didn’t let me down!! Thank you @westcoastcustoms for lacing my range. Yes, he wrapped my truck in velvet and I LOVE it!!! I feel like my car is rocking a Sean John sweat suit”
