Carl Rogberg, Christopher Bush and John Scouler have been charged with fraud by abuse of position and false accounting.

Tesco said there has been an "extensive programme of change" since 2014.

Bush was Tesco UK's managing director, Rogberg was the company's finance director and Scouler was the UK food commerical director.

The SFO launched the criminal investigation one week after Tesco announced its profits were overstated by £263m.

Authorities found the higher figure came after Tesco brought forward rebates from suppliers.
