‘Neighbour from hell’ who lives in run-down caravan on driveway could finally be forced out after 3 YEARS of complaints

A SO-CALLED neighbour from hell who lives in a run-down caravan on a driveway could finally be forced out - after three years of complaints.

Lillie Goddard and her disabled mum are reportedly living in the dirty static home alongside Lillie's £170,000 property in Swindon, Wiltshire.

A council in Wiltshire has launched a legal bid to force a woman and her elderly mum to get rid of the caravans and shipping container on the driveway after neighbours' fury

Families living nearby fumed that the pair, who appeared on Channel 5's My Nightmare Neighbour Next Door, had turned the street into a "traveller camp".

Lillie's caravan is one of two permanently based outside the address.

But Lillie said she's been "bullied" - and claims she rents out three of the five rooms in her house, as well as the second caravan, after getting the green light from the local authority.

However, it looks like she'll now get the boot after council chiefs launched legal action.

The saga began in 2019, when electrician Lillie first moved into the property.

She claimed it was uninhabitable, with extensive work needed on the heating system and floorboards.

In July 2020, she moved into the static caravan, and bought a huge shipping container for the garden to store building materials.

Locals soon began complaining - but Lillie says she's the victim of racial discrimination.

'NIGHTMARE NEIGHBOUR'

A previous enforcement order to remove the caravan was overturned.

And she said today: ''Why would the council wish to force a senior to become homeless or move into a house where climbing stairs could be life-threateningly dangerous for her?

"How will I be able to care for her in an emergency situation? She does not speak English. It is victimisation and cruel."

In an email from the council to local residents, an officer confirmed a hearing is due to take place later this month.

"We have now received confirmation from the court that a hearing will take place on February 15 2022," it read.

Speaking recently, one local resident, 77, said: "I'm surprised nobody has taken it into their own hands. It's only a matter of time.

"I'm surprised it hasn't been burnt down or something, people are very annoyed about it.

Why would the council want to force my elderly mum to become homeless? We're victims

"A couple of people live in the caravan and a load more in the house. We'll see people coming and going all the time, tenants change regularly.

"And from what I've heard from neighbours, I don't think the council are really that intent on sorting the problem.

"Even the MP and councillors have been involved, but they don't seem to have much to say about it."

Another said: "It's a disgrace, she doesn't care about anybody else in the street except for herself.

"I think she lives in cloud cuckoo land some days, it's like she thinks the council will never actually do anything to deal with her."

Earlier this month, Lillie told Sun Online she's faced trouble from people trying to force her into the house.

“I am absolutely bullied,” she said.
