Cops hunt man who jumped out from behind tree and tried to grab three-year-old girl in Suffolk wood
Suspect in his 50s or 60s fled after the girl's mum shouted at him
POLICE are hunting a suspected child snatcher who jumped out from behind a tree and grabbed a little girl by the arm.
He approached the three-year-old as she was walking a short distance ahead of her mother and siblings in a wooded area of Sapiston, Suffolk.
The man took hold of the youngster's forearm and spoke to her before her mum shouted at him.
He released his grip on the child and ran away.
The little girl sustained slight reddening to her arm during the incident at around 4.20pm on Sunday.
The man involved is described as white, aged in his 50s to 60s, with grey hair and wearing glasses.
He wore a white T-shirt with blue sleeves and black jeans and black boots, with a brown bag over his shoulder.
Police are asking him or anyone who knows who he is to come forward.
