Stunning girlfriend of top Spanish singer reveals terror of being KIDNAPPED by ransom cartel
Rosanna Zanetti was the victim of an "express kidnapping" eight years ago
A MODEL who was kidnapped in her homeland of Venezuela has opened up for the first time about her horrifying ordeal.
Rosanna Zanetti, who was captured eight years ago, has spoken about "the most terrifying moment of her life" in a viral video clip - which she uploaded in an attempt to highlight the chaos she feels her country is descending into.
In the footage, Rosanna, who was born in the Venezuelan capital Caracas, says: "A lot of people ask me if the situation in Venezuela is as bad as it is portrayed in the newspapers and on TV, and my answer is always ‘no, it is not that bad, it is worse, it is much worse’.
"There is no medicine, no food and no security.
"I am speaking from personal experience, many people do not know that eight years ago I suffered a so-called 'express kidnapping', and it was the four most eternal and horrible hours of my life."
Rosanna, who began her career aged just 17 and has worked in Mexico, Spain and Turkey, was the victim of an "express kidnapping" - a method of abduction which involves demanding a small, immediate ransom.
Now the model, who is also the partner of popular Spanish singer David Bisbal, says she told her story to highlight the daily terror of living in the South American country.
In the emotional clip, she added: "There is an economic, social and political crisis that affects all Venezuelans equally, without distinction."
As a result of the current crisis, last week violence erupted in the Venezuelan capital Caracas during a mass protest against the regime - in which an estimated one million Venezuelans took part.
