Vaz-nishing act

‘Fixer’ who allegedly paid for Keith Vaz’s male escorts claims to be a parliamentary aide and has since disappeared

The bag man who helped pay for the disgraced Labour MP's prostitutes claimed to be a parliamentary assistant despite not being on the party's books

The bag man who allegedly helped pay for disgraced Labour MP Keith Vaz’s rent boys claims to be a parlimentary assistant, it was revealed today.

Last month a payment for the escorts of £150 in cash was made to the prostitutes’ account from Bucharest born Daniel Dimitru Dragusin’s account after the alleged sessions at Vaz’s flat.

Daniel Dimitru Dragusin allegedly told people he was a parliamentary aide, despite Labour sources saying he is not on the party’s books

Dragusin has previously insisted the cash for the two rent boys came from his own account and was nothing to do with the Silver Star diabetes charity set up by Vaz.

He claimed to be a Labour aide but last night sources within the party insisted he had nothing to do with them.

A Labour source said: “He is not on the books of the party.”

A flatmate at his ground floor flat in Harrow north London said: “As soon as this broke he vanished. He has family in Romania and is from there.

“I’ve tried his mobile but it’s switched off. I think he wants to avoid being linked to this.”

However he does have close links to Vaz and has posted pictures of the two of them on the House of Commons terrace on his Facebook site.

He is also thought to have used his links to get his Romanian cousin access to the Houses of Parliament where he posed with Vaz and Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri.

A family member in Romania told The Sun: “He told us he worked for a British MP and when a cousin visited he got him inside the Houses of Parliament.

“No one knows where he is now. He’s not answering his phone.”
