Sick trolls target Raheem Sterling over four-year-old daughter’s first day at school photos
But others defend England star after his latest performance in World Cup qualifiers
ENGLAND star Raheem Sterling has been subjected to vile online abuse from Instagram trolls after posting a loving photo of his daughter's first day at school.
The Manchester City winger shared the picture of four-year-old Melody in her new school uniform - and was soon the target of disgusting comments.
Haters dubbed Sterling, 21, "a snake" after he shared the picture with the caption "First day at her new school #MelodyRose".
He also published a picture of Melody with her mother but quickly deleted it after the photo attracted further abuse.
The footie star posted the pictures after representing his country in England's World Cup qualifier against Slovakia on Sunday night.
Sterling upset Liverpool fans when he left Anfield for City in a £48million move.
Many saw the transfer - which landed Sterling £150,000-a-week - as a huge betrayal.
