Police reveal 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of common assault and a public order offence
A MOTORIST has been arrested after being accused of threatening to “knock out” Jeremy Vine.
A spokeswoman for the Met revealed cops from the Kensington and Chelsea area had arrested a woman on Friday.
She said: “The 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of common assault and a public order offence.
“She has been bailed to return to police on a date in early September.”
Shayna, 22, previously told The Sun she felt victimised after the Radio 2 host posted some film of their altercation, claiming his dangerous cycling provoked her.
It has been viewed half a million times on Facebook and has outraged other cyclists.
The student, who did not want to give her surname, said: “Everyone’s been slating me online and there’s been a real racist element too.
“He made me look impatient but he was riding on the pavement and came out on to the road in front of me, with no hand signals.
“The road had parking on either side. He was dangerous. He pulled out in front of me, making me have to make an emergency stop.

Shayna had been driving behind Vine in Kensington, West London. He recorded their bust-up on a helmet cam.
She said: “Cyclists feel that they can just come into the middle of the road. It’s not right. And to top it off he followed me after.
“He made out that I attacked him, and I’m an angry woman. I was provoked but I’ve been portrayed as a psycho.”
Shayna of Brixton, South London, denied making a gangster-style gun gesture before driving off.
Vine previously said: “The police have the evidence.
“We should wait for them to decide what offences were committed.”
