Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe is ‘preparing to convert to Islam in a bid to protect himself as part of Muslim prison gang’
The Yorkshire Ripper fears for his life after being sent from Broadmoor to one of UK's toughest jails

THE Yorkshire Ripper is considering converting to Islam in a bid to protect himself from daily death threats, a prison source has revealed.
Mass murderer Peter Sutcliffe, 70, was recently moved from psychiatric hospital Broadmoor to the notorious Frankland prison.
And the vile killer, who murdered 13 women and tried to kill seven more in the late 70s, has now sought protection from Muslim gangs.
But he will only receive special protection from almost daily threats to his life if he converts to Islam.
Sutcliffe is believed to be preparing to meet an imam to discuss his conversion in the coming weeks.
A source told the : "HMP Frankland is ruled by gangs and you are either in a white gang, black gang or Asian gang.
“If you are a child killer, rapist or a mass murderer, the only gang who are going to let you in are the Muslims but you have to convert to Islam.”

The same gang is believed to have approached serial killer Levi Bellfield about joining them.
Bellfield - who is now known as Yusuf Rahim - was found guilty of the murders of Milly Dowler, Marsha McDonnell and Amelie Delegrange and is now serving three life sentences at Frankland.
Prison services were often accused of giving Sutcliffe a cushy sentence as he served out time in Broadmoor from 1984 until recently.
A source said: “He loves Vikings but he is worried about not being able to see the next series.
"He is also worried about his posters of what he calls his ‘James Bond cars’. He knows he will not get cushy treatment.”
He was sent to notorious hospital Broadmoor after being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 1984 but was found to no longer require medical treatment by a tribunal in December.
Prior to that, he was seriously injured when a fellow inmate broke a coffee jar and slashed it across his face.
And Sutcliffe is thought to be terrified of reprisals when he enters Frankland - commonly known as one of the UK's toughest prisons.
In 2012 child rapist Mitchell Harrison was killed and disembowelled by fellow prisoners who allegedly planned to eat his liver.
