Airbnb host admits filming people have sex on hidden cameras and says he swaps the footage with other online landlords

The shock confession was made on website PostSecret

AN AIRBNB host has left internet users shocked after making a horrifying admission on a secret-sharing website.

Confessing via PostSecret, the anonymous host claimed to use hidden cameras to take secret sex videos of their guests - and then swap the footage with other sleazy landlords using the property site.

They wrote:  "I swap hidden camera sex videos with other Airbnb hosts."

Although there is no way of verifying the claim, the secret attracted attention after being shared on PostSecret's Facebook page, which has nearly 2 million likes - where site moderators revealed it was the "most talked about secret this week".

Now, the post has been shared over 1,000 times - with many "shocked and saddened" to hear of the sordid side of Airbnb, which has over 1.5 million holiday rentals listed worldwide.

Facebook user Jen Hunter, an Airbnb host, wrote: "[I have] been doing my utmost for two years to treat my guests with kindness and respect."

Meanwhile, Natalie Boone Minervino added: "Disgusting. Now you're ruining [it] for the Airbnbs that actually make an effort to keep their clients happy/safe."

However, some have questioned the legitimacy of the claim - suggesting it could be the work of a rival business owner trying to damage Airbnb's reputation.

Commenting again, Jen Hunter speculated: "Pondering further, I wonder if this postcard was sent in by a hotel owner to try to damage Airbnb's reputation and is completely made up."

In a statement, Airbnb said: "There is no evidence to support this claim."

The company added that they take privacy issues extremely seriously and have a zero tolerance policy for hidden cameras.

However, it's not the first time Airbnb has become embroiled in a sleazy scandal - as just last month a host was left fuming after a guest trashed her flat after using it to shoot a porn movie.

Sharon Marzouk let out her plush Silicon Valley pad while she went away on business - but returned to over £7,000 of devastating water damage.

Sharon said: “I realised that I didn’t know who the person in my house was.

“As the pieces fell into place that she was more than likely using my bathroom as a business to take photos of herself.”

Airbnb spokesman Nick Shapiro added: “We have zero tolerance for this kind of behaviour and have removed this guest from our platform.”
