Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff takes walk with 6 cars & huge entourage after his wife announces $200M emissions plan
IT takes a lot of people to go on a walk when you are the Second Gentleman of the United States.
VP Kamala Harris' husband Doug Emhoff was pictured with a huge entourage as he took a stroll in Brentwood, California, on Saturday.
Emhoff was followed by 14 secret service agents and three police officers during his hike.
As many as six cars followed Emhoff's pace as he walked through the Los Angeles neighborhood, wearing an all-black outfit and Nike running shows.
He walked alongside his personal bodyguard, who was wearing a mask.
While this was not much of an eco-friendly walk, VP Harris recently announced a $200 million plan with the Energy Department to reduce vehicle emissions in.
The vice-president that the U.S. Department of Energy had awarded $199 million to fund 25 projects aimed at putting cleaner cars and trucks on America’s roads, including long-haul trucks powered by batteries and fuel cells, and at improving the nation’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Harris and Emhoff, who tied the knot in 2014, own a $2.7 million home in the neighborhood.

The chateau is one of several properties owned by the Vice President and her husband, including a $1.775million two bedroom condo in the capital, and a condo in San Francisco that Harris paid half a million dollars for in 2004, but is reported to have since doubled in value.
Emhoff is a California attorney and was a partner at the firm DLA Piper, where he worked based out of Los Angeles and Washington, DC.
However, he took a leave of absence to support his wife on the presidential campaign last year, before leaving his role at DLA Piper permanently to avoid any conflict of interests.
