Drakeo the Ruler was killed in Los Angeles late Saturday night after being stabbed with a knife during an altercation near the Banc of California Stadium.
He was set to rap during the Once Upon a Time in L.A. concert with other performers, including Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent.
The rapper had just celebrated his 28th birthday on December 1st.
Paramedics arrived to the scene around 8:40 p.m. A representative for the rapper that it was, in fact, Drakeo the Ruler who had been stabbed.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and passed away as a result of his injury.
The LA Police Department confirmed that the star suffered severe stab wounds to the neck after he was set upon in an area off stage by a “group of people."
No arrests have been made, according to The , so far.
The concert was cancelled out of respect to the rapper's death and due to the need for further investigation.
