Fast food fist fight leaves victim with head wounds after he's hit with flying chair
DETECTIVES investigating a vicious assault in a fried chicken shop have issued CCTV footage of a man they are hunting in connection with the incident.
Uniformed cops were called to a report of a brutal attack at inside Papa’s Chicken, High Street North, Newham.
When they arrived they found a 25-year-old man being treated by London Ambulance Service.
He had suffered cuts to his head and eyelids, and a bruised jaw after being hit over the head with a chair.
Shocking CCTV from within the shop caught the moment trouble flared when the victim paid for some food and went to leave.
As he turned, he brushed shoulders with the 'muscular' suspect who started to shout and argue with him.
The suspect then attacked the victim and despite trying to protect himself, he was hit and kicked several times in the head.
The suspect ran off along Milton Avenue.
He later returned to the rear of the shop armed with a knife but scarpered when the police turned up.
The suspect [ref: 221766] is described as a slim, muscular Bengali man, aged in his mid 30s and 5ft 10ins tall.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man or who witnessed the nasty assault.
Anyone with any information on the incident, which took place at 9pm on Wednesday, July 27, is asked to contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
