THIS carrier pigeon was nabbed en route to a prison - with a mobile phone and a USB strapped to it.
In the footage, two prison guards remove the little black harness strapped to the pigeon's body.
One holds the bird while the other removes the harness by cutting it with nail clippers.
The pigeon was caught just outside the Combita prison, in north east Colombia, and authorities believe he was heading for an inmate.
The prison guard turns to the camera and says: "My companion will now free the pigeon after removing the bag with the phone."
His colleague throws the pigeon up into the air and it flies onto a nearby roof.
He then asks his colleague to show the phone to the camera and the guard removes a compact plastic bag with a small phone and a USB stick inside.
The prison authorities have since begun an investigation to determine which inmate the parcel was intended for.
This is not the first time pigeons have been utilised by inmates in Colombia.
In 2011, one of them fell near Bucaramanga's Modelo prison and struggled to take off again.
Prison guards picked it up and found packets of marijuana and crack cocaine tied to its back.
In 2009, another pigeon was found outside a Colombian prison with a tiny suitcase full of mobile phone components.
