But serial eco-protester Mogie, 39, faces no action, despite breaching a government injunction by sitting in the road.

Meanwhile Sherrilyn is accused of assault and dangerous driving — and could be jailed for six months or hit with an unlimited fine.

She told The Sun: “This just feels completely ridiculous. Why are police and prosecutors giving into these people?

"A mum trying to take her son to school is not the one who should be facing the firm hand of the law.

“These Insulate Britain fools want it all their own way. Who is sticking up for normal people here?

"I think it's disgusting that they were stopping working class people from getting to work and their kids to school and now they're trying to prosecute a single mum.

"I could lose my whole livelihood. If I have a criminal record I won't be able to work with children anymore.

"It's really not fair. All I was trying to do was take my son to school and go to work.

"These Insulate Britain protesters are middle class. They say they care about people and the country - so why would they want a single mum to lose her licence and her job?

"There is no one supporting the working class people who are trying to make an honest living and are working hard."

The mental health specialist, of Grays, Essex, added: "I know I could have handled things in a better way, I have said that from the start, but I lost my temper and I was sticking up for all the other mums out there."

"I would never hurt anyone. They weren't listening to me. When I was nice they ignored me."

The incident happened near the Dartford Crossing in Purfleet, Essex, on October 11.

Sherrilyn was caught on camera screaming that she needed to get her 11-year-old son to school.

She must appear at Basildon magistrates’ court.

Her alleged victim was previously convicted over a printing site protest but has not been charged.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We have received authorisation from the Crown Prosecution Service to charge a woman in connection with an incident in St Clements Way, Grays, on October 13.

"Sherrilyn Speid, 34, of Purfleet, will be summoned to appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court on January 6 to be charged with dangerous driving and assault by beating.

"This incident occurred while the road was being disrupted and our complex investigation into that disruption is ongoing.

"In total, we have made 94 arrests in connection with the disruption caused on the M25 and M11 and their nearby feeder roads in September and October.

"Those investigations are progressing, and we are in consistent dialogue with the CPS and other affected forces on them.

"When dealing with these incidents, we police them without fear or favour in a manner to keep everyone at the scene safe and we have consistently said our priority is to keep our county’s roads moving.”
