She met Smith at the pub where she worked in 2019 and the pair became a couple weeks later.
Smith's daughter Star was around six months old when she began dating Brockhill, a keen amateur boxer.
She had previously split from Star's father, Jordan Hobson.
Did Savannah Brockhill murder Star Hobson?
Brockhill was found guilty of murdering Star on December 14, 2021.
The court heard how the little girl had lived through months of assaults and psychological harm before suffering "utterly catastrophic" and "unsurvivable" injuries at home.
Star's mother, Smith, was cleared of murder at Bradford Crown Court but was convicted of causing or allowing the toddler's death.

Jurors heard how Smith's family and friends had growing fears about bruising they saw on the little girl in the months before she died and made a series of complaints to social services.
In each case, Brockhill and Smith managed to convince social workers that marks on Star were accidental, or that the complaints were made maliciously by people who did not like their relationship.

The jury saw multiple videos recorded by the couple, including one sickening clip showing an exhausted Star nodding off on a green chair so often she almost topples onto the floor.
When she does fall, pulling the chair on top of herself, neither woman goes to help her.
In an even more disgusting move, Brockhill even took the time to edit the clip into slow motion with dramatic music.
She then sent it to a friend saying "f***ed it" with three crying laughing emojis.
Brockhill told the court she "found it funny" and it was the sort of thing you would see on TV show You've Been Framed.
Following her death on September 22, 2020, Star's main vein was found to have been torn causing major blood loss.
She had also suffered a split to the liver, a tear to the fatty attachments of the bowel and bruising to the lower part of the lungs and the pancreas, the court was told.
Prosecutor Alistair MacDonald QC said the injuries had been caused by a severe and forceful blow or blows, "either in the form of punching, stamping or kicking to the abdomen".
After causing the injuries, Brockhill and Smith searched online for "shock in babies" and waited 15 minutes before calling for help.
Medics arrived at their flat and found Star apparently lifeless, pale and wearing only a disposable nappy.
She was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
Brockhill initially claimed she had been in the kitchen when she heard a "bang" from the living room where Star had been playing, but she was later convicted of murder.
Brockhill showed no emotion as the verdict was delivered and was seen making heart gestures and blowing kisses moments after being sentenced.
What is her prison sentence?
In 2021 Brockhill was found guilty of causing the death of 16-month-old Star.
She was sentenced the following day to life in prison with a minimum of 25 years.
Star's mother, Smith, was found guilty of causing or allowing the death of her daughter and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
In March 2022, Smith had her sentenced increased after the Attorney General referred her case to the Court of Appeal - under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.
Smith is now serving 12 years in prison.
Where is Savannah Brockhill now?
Brockhill is currently serving her life sentence in HMP Styal, Cheshire - a Closed Category prison for female adults and young offenders.
Despite her hideous crime, it has been reported that Brockhill has been sent fan mail and cards to her prison cell from "admirers".
She has also had cash paid into her prison account to allow her to buy herself items from the canteen.
