Salt Bae’s restaurant now among lowest-ranked in London on TripAdvisor as ’embarrassed’ diners slam ‘worst food’
SALT Bae’s glitzy £1,450-a-steak joint is now one of the lowest-ranked restaurants in London.
His Nusr-Et eatery in swanky Knightsbridge is listed as 20,491 out of 23,811 restaurants in the capital on TripAdvisor.
It has been given an average of two out of five stars by "embarrassed" diners on the site, with people blasting the over-priced grub.
One person wrote this month: "Worst food, worst service. Paid over £1,800 for three of us.
"Poor quality, smelly meat, small portions. Rather spend £50 in the local restaurant, will be better! Never again! Stay away."
Another added: "Went here as a 'must visit'... absolutely shocking service and food.
"They need to rebrand an as 'Abderdeen steakhouse' where they charge tourists £15 for a steak.
"You are better off going to Hawksmoor and saving £900 for the same meal but better.
"Or go to Hippodrome steakhouse where you will not only save £900 to £1,200 but you also get some casino chips."

A third reviewer called Jarvis penned: "I travel all over the world conducting my business and have eaten in many many restaurants but this is the worst one yet.
"The ones in LA, Turkey and Dubai are amazing and I couldn't recommend them highly enough, but I would never return to Nusr-et in London.
"I dined here with some business associates and felt embarrassed afterwards that I'd chosen such a god awful place to dine in.
"This place is all hype and no substance give it a miss or dine at your own peril."
Nusr-Et is famed for its steaks, which can cost up to a staggering £1,450 for a Golden Giant Tomahawk.
Other outrageous items include a Golden Giant Striploin for £1,350 and a £100 Golden Burger.
But while scores of visitors have slammed the pricey menu and measly portions, others have praised the unique and "exclusive" dining experience.
'VERY EXCLUSIVE'
One positive review reads: "There is an aura around this place and it looks very exclusive from the outside.
"The staff are very attentive from the second you enter to the second you leave.
"Everything about this place is a theatre show. You’re not paying the exclusive prices just for some meat and chips, you’re paying for the attention, the whole show.
"For starters we had Special Wagyu Sushi - I can honestly say the best sushi I’ve had. Insanely good! Absolutely fantastic experience."
Another described their meal out as "fantastic" and the décor and clientele as "glamorous".
"It is popular with London's more exclusive and wealthy people of Middle Eastern origins, rather than the regular English steak and chips brigade. This really helps to elevate the class," they wrote.
The best Sun exclusives
"We just ordered a normal steak and not with gold leaf, but even so, it was fantastic quality.
"The steak was served and then, exactly how the incredible Salt Bae does it, we had the salt sprinkled down the arm and onto our steak.
"It was then sliced in a really brilliant way, with energy, passion and dare I say it, sex."
