Deluded despot Assad releases ludicrous promotional video claiming tourism is BOOMING in Syria – as he obliterates war-ravaged country

And, not surprisingly, there's no mention of the bombings, beheadings and brutality

TOURISM bosses in war-ravaged Syria have released a bizarre new promo video which brags the country is as beautiful as ever.

The Miami Vice-style clip portrays the country as a glamorous sun-filled holiday resort complete with expensive speedboats and packed beaches.

The video  - from the Syrian Ministry of Tourism - opens with sweeping views of the country's coastline and shows hundreds of bathers swimming in crystal blue seas.

The mini-movie then pans over a luxury seaside villa complex as a pumping soundtrack plays in the background.

The video closes with the slogan 'Syria - Always Beautiful'.

But it's all a far cry from the horror deluded Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad is clearly trying to hide from the rest of the world.

Earlier this month The Sun online told how beautiful buildings which have stood for centuries have been reduced  to dust and rubble by hundreds of military bombardments.

Beautiful Mosques, churches and UNESCO classified souks have all been destroyed in the long-running conflict.

And each week things are just getting worse for those living under Assad's regime.

The frequency and accuracy of air strikes have been increasing since Russia started its aerial campaign in support of the Syrian President.

Five years since the conflict began, more than 250,000 Syrians have been killed in the fighting, and almost 11 million Syrians  have been displaced from their homes.

None of this gets a mention in the new Assad-backed tourism clip, which was released on Facebook.

Nor do the sick beheadings carried out by ISIS fighters and the mass graves which are filled with thousands of bodies scattered throughout the country.

Earlier this month, a photograph of a dazed and bloodied Syrian boy rescued from a destroyed building in Aleppo after an air strike has caused outrage around the world.
