Driver slams neighbour for leaving furious note over parking ‘eyesore’ van outside homes ‘in everyone’s way’
A DRIVER has slammed his neighbour for leaving an angry note over parking an "eyesore" van outside homes that is "in everyone's way".
The van owner says he always tries his best not to park his work vehicle in front of people's houses but still found this letter on his windscreen.
The note reads: "Thank you for leaving your eyesore van outside our homes all night so we can struggle to park.
"You could park it outside yours or even across the road where no one park or at the bottom of the street out of everyone's way. Thanks."
The driver said he'd try to park his van on the side of the road where houses are high so residents wouldn't see the van directly from there windows but it wasn't always possible.
He also said the problem was caused by "the selfish inconsiderate people that don't park in their own parking space, in their drive" and he is "within his rights to park anywhere he wants to".
Although it's not totally clear what the situation is, it seems that many people have showed support to the driver.
One wrote in the comment: "Park it up their a*** next time. Sad person!"

"Is it taxed? Insured? MOT'd? If yes, there's nothing they can do about it," Another added.
A third one commented: "Park on their drives, it's not against the law!"
However, others have raised concerns that vans like this could block the pavement and be dangerous to others if parked on the corner of the road.
One resident said: "They take a lot of pavement space up and it's hard to get past sometimes on the pavement"
"(There is) a corner that is becoming ridiculous and so dangerous, there are 3 or 4 vans plus cars and you can't see what's coming, someone is going to get hurt," Another one added.
The driver says he now has to leave his van at work instead, which makes his life more difficult, especially when visiting his dad who is in the early stages of dementia.
He wrote: "It's just harder for me, I now have to finish work, drop van off, wait for him (my boss) take me home then wait for my Mrs finish work then go see my dad."
