Harry Potter fans furious after Cheshire experience charges £8.50 for a Butter Beer & £6 for MARSHMALLOWS

, the events company who run that attraction, a ticket for an adult costs £39 and for a child it's £29.

One reviewer wrote: "Amazing magical experience. Merchandise and food were expensive but would highly recommend, great for all ages."

Amanda Bartlett blasted: "Excellent experience just a shame the food, drink and merchandise were so expensive."

Gemma J said: "A wonderful experience! The music and lighting really made it feel as though I was really a character in the HP films!

"The reason for four instead of five stars is that the gift shop isn't very affordable.

"I found the prices more expensive than other HP official shops and therefore left without a souvenir."

Kirstin Mack said: "The staff were friendly and helpful, the path was ok for a pram and the interactive aspects of the walk were magic for my three-year-old and seven-month-old!

"The only things I would flag and why I wouldn’t give it five stars is the price of the kiosks which made an expensive ticket even more expensive."

And Hasan Patel said he felt disappointed in the what he thought was the event's "money grab" attitude.

He said: "Not only is it quite costly to purchase admission tickets, prices within the venue for snacks and food were a bit disappointing.

"Couldn't help but feel this was a bit of a money grab as we don't get too much things like this up North."

Some of the reviews blasted specific prices, with one visitor claiming they splashed out almost £30 on drinks and snacks for two.

Claire wrote: "The only criticism would be some of the soft drinks and food prices.

"For two water, two hot drinks and two doughnuts nearly £30, one small Butter Beer that's nothing like Harry Potter Studios or Universal Studios £8, if you've never had butter beer don't bother with that one as it was very sweet and reminded me more of Tizer."

She added: "I always expect to pay over the odds but do think the soft drinks/water/hot drinks are over priced considerably."

Stephanie Lee said: "As other comments, the food and drink was really expensive, donuts from £4.5 each, butter beer £8.50."

Lyn Floyd said: "We were very excited taking our granddaughters until we arrived to the experience we were quite disappointed in the props especially and the overall experience.

"If you do visit then please be aware that anything you want to purchase is very expensive, a simple chocolate bar half the size of a Freddo cost £5 we spent £150 before we left on hot dogs 4 drinks, marshmallows and a doughnut - astronomical."

But some reviewers said the price at a venue like that was to be expected - and told moaning customers it could be worse.

Navi Braich said: "Don't be put off too much by people saying its expensive - it's what you would expect for this type of event."

Eleanor Cockbain wrote: "The experience itself was magical - you could certainly tell this was an "official" HP event, and not a cheapo knockoff."

She added: "On-site catering a bit pricey but what you'd expect with a captive audience. Staff very friendly."

Another reviewer said: "It was well signposted to get to, the shop and food were as expensive as you would expect from a popular tourist attraction but not outrageously priced and the variety of creatures and things to see was amazing, all set to the wonderful music from the films."

A spokesperson for Fever said: "Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience is all about the myriad of magical characters and creatures in the forest but we also have a wide range of food and drink available, starting from £1,50 snacks.

"We are also introducing a discount on food for anyone who buys a hot drink during the trail."
