Who was Oxford High School victim Justin Shilling?

A FOURTH teenager, Justin Shilling, has been named as a victim of the Oxford High School shooting in Michigan on November 30, 2021.

It came just hours after suspect Ethan Crumbley, 15, was charged with multiple counts of murder as police confirmed that he would be tried as an adult.

Who was Justin Shilling?

Justin Shilling, 17, died on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

He was reportedly the co-captain of the school's bowling team and was described by his employer as a “devoted friend”.

Anita's Kitchen, where Shilling worked, shared a statement on social media.

They wrote: "We've just learned of the passing of one of our bright, young Lake Orion employees, Justin Shilling, in relation to the tragic events that took place at Oxford High School yesterday.

"Justin was an exemplary employee, a devoted friend and co-worker, co-captain of his bowling team, and simply a pleasure to be around.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time."

What happened at Oxford High School shooting?

Oakland police responded after calls of an "active shooter" were reported at the school in Michigan just before 1pm on November 30, 2021, when staff and students heard shots ring out.

Parents were told that students were being evacuated as authorities searched the area.

As well as the three fatalities, seven Oxford High School students and a teacher suffered injuries.

A day later it was confirmed a fourth student had died.

Three were said to be in a critical condition with gunshot wounds, according to a cop.

Police reported to the scene within five minutes of the 911 call and the 15-year-old suspect was immediately taken into custody.

One student was walking from lunch when the first gunshot rang out. She said she heard gunshots and saw another student bleeding.

She heard a total of five gunshots and said she "just ran".

The student said: "He was bleeding from his cheek and his arm. Just send prayers to the people that did get hurt. It's just sad."

Three other students said they heard the first shot and froze, but when they heard the second shot they "just started running."

Another student said: "It was pure chaos. People were getting into their cars and were just afraid of getting hit."

Fox2 News later spoke with Savannah, a 17-year-old student, who said her boyfriend said something was wrong and told her to hide before she heard gunfire.

She said the school goes through mass shooting training and she said they knew what to do. They were told to hide in the classroom and they knew how to get out safely.

The suspected shooter, 15, was taken into custody within three minutes of the first squad car being dispatched, cops said.

They added that the suspect has since seen a lawyer and has "invoked his right to not speak".

On December 1, 2021 it was announced that Ethan Crumbley, a sophomore at the school, would be charged as an adult for the tragic shooting.

Prosecutors said that they are "confident" that they can prove the act was premeditated.

If found guilty Crumbley, 15, will face life in prison.

Who were the other victims?

Three victims other victims have been identified as Tate Myre, 16, Hana St Juliana, 14, and Madisyn Baldwin, 17.

A vigil to commemorate their tragic deaths was later held outside the school as a flood of tributes were paid online.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, who is investigating the case, said: "This touches us all personally and deeply, and will for a long time. This wound will never go away.

"We will leave no stone unturned in the investigation and finding out what lead up to it.”

President Joe Biden later responded to the shooting, adding: “My heart goes out to the families enduring the unimaginable grief of losing a loved one.”
