Mrs May, who was at Lord’s for England’s one-day cricket international against Pakistan yesterday, had ordered them to come up with ideas to make a success of Brexit.

They will meet at her country pile Chequers on Wednesday to deliver their pitches.

It signals that all departments, not just the Three Brexiteers of Boris Johnson, David Davis and Liam Fox, will play a role in leaving.
