TWO people died after a car and a Union Pacific train collided on Thanksgiving.
Both of the victims were in the car, Miami County, Kansas, Sheriff's Office Captain Matthew Kelly told The Sun.
Luckily, no one inside the train was injured, Kelly said.
The devastating crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ridgeview and Wagstaff roads, which is a rural area about 75 miles outside of Topeka.
It's too early to determine the cause of the crash, the Miami County Sheriff captain said, but "it doesn't appear to be a malfunction of the train or the crossing."
