A TUBBY Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike has been bitten by a suspected drug addict while helping to restrain him.
IT worker Roman Burtsev, 33, became something of a celebrity after the media picked up on his resemblance to the Hollywood superstar.
He was interviewed by newspapers and magazines, was invited to work as a model and started getting invitations to VIP Moscow parties.
But the doppelganger has now found himself in the headlines again - after getting caught up in the arrest of a suspected drug addict.
Mr Burtsev said: ";I was on my way to a car parts shop when I saw a man who looked like a junkie beating himself against trees and cars."
The lookalike added: "He walked into a health clinic and I thought I couldn't just walk away, so I decided to help the clinic staff to calm him down.
The bizarre incident happened in the town of Podolsk in north-western Russia's Moscow Oblast region.
Mr Burtsev – who now stars in his own reality show – added: "He bit me a few times. I hope he was not contagious. The doctors there took care of my wounds."
Police arrested the man and took him into custody, leaving Mr Burtsev to show off his wounds to journalists.
Mr Burtsev claimed that he struggled to find girlfriends before his resemblance to the Revenant actor was noticed.
But all of that has changed and he has even been given his own reality TV show, Romance with DiCaprio.
In July it was reported that Roman had also landed a role to help sell Russian vodka.
He has been cashing in on his newfound fame ever since his resemblance to the 41-year-old Hollywood star was blasted over the internet.
In his latest screen appearance, he stars in an advert for Five Lakes vodka alongside a string of counterfeit products saying the only thing real in life is the spirit.
The real DiCaprio claims to have Russian roots, saying two of his grandparents were born in the country.
