Get your Xmas Cards For Kids entries in… but you’ll have to be quick
KIDS up and down the land have got arty to join in The Sun on Sunday’s Xmas Cards For Kids contest – but tomorrow is your LAST CHANCE to enter.
Alexander Naughton and Maxwell Moore, both two, are among those who have had a go at our charity challenge to create cards which will be sold to help buy toys for child cancer patients this festive season.
Each slipped on a festive jumper to get down to work, and drew a Christmas tree as their design.
Maxwell’s mother Jennie Moore, a nurse, from Heaton Moor, Gtr. Manchester, said: “It’s so wonderful to do this for kids suffering from cancer. I hope the cards sell loads so lots of toys can be bought.”
We launched our contest last month with the charity Young Lives vs Cancer, challenging YOUR kids to create Christmas cards.
Judges headed by ex-Blue Peter host Konnie Huq and also including telly and radio presenter Gaby Roslin will pick a winner in each of three classes — under-fives and ages six to ten and 11 to 16.
Printed.com will then make the designs into cards to sell and fund toys for kids at Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home, where young patients and their families can stay near to hospitals.
Other entries to our card contest so far include aptly named Max Yule, 11, and brother Rufus, eight, of Pudsey, West Yorks. Max said: “It’s awful how hard it must be for kids with cancer.

If we can help buy toys for children in hospital at Christmas, it is worth the time we put in.”
Also backing our campaign is Chloe Hunt, 27, left, who had nerve cancer as a teen. After gruelling treatment, she got the all-clear in 2011 and later became a nurse.
Chloe, of Desborough, Northants, stayed in one of Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home during treatment and says: “They give you a small sense of feeling normal when your world is in pieces.”
Her book Beyond Fear Is Hope is available on Amazon and proceeds go to Young Lives vs Cancer.

SIMPLY email [email protected] with a photo of your child’s well-lit drawing and with you or your child’s name, age, address and a few words about why they entered.
Keep the original design, which must be on A4, A5 or A6 paper, safe in case it is one of the three winners and needs to be scanned for printing.
