UNDER-threat gangster Fat Freddie Thompson is painting his toenails pink as part of his disguise.

The tubby thug, who is at the top of a hit-list drawn up by Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch’s rival mob, adopted the extreme measure in a bid to stay one step ahead of his enemies.

Porky Thompson, who often wears women’s clothing, accessories and glasses, was stopped by gardai in Dublin’s south inner city earlier this month with his freshly lacquered trotters.

The senior Kinahan cartel member — also a major target for the Garda’s newly formed Special Crime Task Force and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau — has been keeping a low profile in recent weeks over fears he’ll be targeted by the Hutch gang.

Detectives have received intelligence the thug could now be in England as the Kinahan mobsters plot their next move.

A source said: “Thompson has been ordered to remain in Ireland by Daniel Kinahan and he doesn’t leave the house without a disguise.

“He wears glasses and has worn women’s clothing, but he is now also painting his toenails as part of his desperate attempts to confuse anyone who may want to kill him.

“He has also got a new tattoo of the name of his new partner and is constantly changing his appearance.

“He knows he’s a marked man but he still managed to survive the Crumlin-Drimnagh feud.”

As gardai, under Operation Hybrid, continue to swamp the capital’s inner city in a bid to prevent further bloodshed, we can also reveal Kinahan associate Liam Roe spent time in Dublin’s Mountjoy Prison on Tuesday.

Although he was quizzed recently as part of a probe into money laundering, he was brought to the jail earlier this week over failure to pay €6,000 in fines for road traffic offences.

We can also reveal how a key hitman for Daniel Kinahan’s gang has been staying at a remote location in Co Wexford.

The assassin — who was caught with two weapons in 2010 — is a major suspect for the killings of The Monk’s brother Eddie Hutch and Noel ‘Kingsize’ Duggan.

He’s a close associate of murdered crime boss Marlo Hyland.

And despite being threatened by the Hutch mob, he has also found time to attend concerts in Dublin with his henchman.

A source added: “This man has been involved in crime for a long time — he should still have been in prison after he was caught with two dangerous weapons.

“He’s operating with two other childhood friends and these people are the main hit teams for the Kinahan gang.”

Meanwhile, the loved ones of innocent feud victim Trevor O’Neill, 41, are still awaiting the return of his remains to Ireland.

The dad-of-three, who worked for Dublin City Council, was brutally murdered during a family holiday in Majorca eight days ago by the Kinahan gang in a case of mistaken identity.

His heartbroken relatives have appointed an undertaker but have been forced to wait to finalise his funeral arrangements.

A MAN, 37, has been charged following Monday’s discovery of a submachine gun and ammunition in Castleknock, Dublin. He will appear in court this morning.
