Brian Laundrie update – Autopsy reveals suicide as cause of death of Gabby Petito’s fiancé as family hopes for ‘closure’

BRIAN Laundrie's cause of death was revealed on Tuesday as suicide by a gunshot wound to the head, his family lawyer said.

Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide," lawyer Steve Bertolino said of Gabby Petito's fiancé's death.

"Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families.”

Gabby was last seen on August 27, 2021, in a restaurant in Wyoming with Brian.

She was reported missing on September 11 by her mother after Brian returned home without her on September 1.

Her remains were found in Wyoming on September 19 and his in Florida a month later.

Gabby's cause of death was ruled a murder by strangulation and her fiancé was named as a person of interest.

  • FORMER COWORKER SAYS BRIAN WAS ‘A CHAMELEON’

Brian’s former coworker Livingston, 31, also described Laundrie as a “chameleon” who always had his hands clean even though they worked with plants and dirt.

Laundrie would also make money on the side by selling drawings, he claimed.

“I remember from back then he was a big yoga nut, always telling me, ‘I gotta worry about my zen,’” Livingston said.

“And I thought he was this weirdo.”

  • FORMER COWORKER SAYS BRIAN LAUNDRIE WAS ‘A WEIRDO’

Brian Laundrie was a “weirdo” who had a “quick temper,” a former co-worker has claimed.

Michael Livingston, who claims he worked with Laundrie in a New York garden center for part of 2017 and 2018, said Gabby Petito’s fiancé was a “yoga nut” and was “very possessive” over Gabby.

Livingston also said Laundrie was good at “making people like him.”

“He never came across as the kind of person that would be the killing type,” he told  at a memorial for Gabby in Patchogue, New York, on Sunday.

“But he did have that tendency to be — I don’t wanna say the wrong thing and make him sound worse than he already is — he was kind of a guy who would get p—ed off pretty quick.”

  • OFFICIALS ‘ILLEGALLY’ CHARGED $3,000 IN FEES FOR VIDEO

Officials in the Utah city where Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie had an explosive domestic dispute have been accused of illegally collecting nearly $3,000 in fees for the distressing police bodycam footage of the incident.

The Moab Police Department is planning to return the fees collected from multiple media organizations featuring footage of the officers pulling over Gabby and her ex-fiancé Brian outside of Arches National Park.

The August 12 recordings showed the 22-year-old Gabby holding her neck and explaining to both Moab and park officers that her fiance Brian had “scratched and grabbed” her, causing the bruises – nearly a month before the woman was reported missing and later found dead.

  • BRIAN’S SKELETON DRAWING

Sleuths on the internet claimed that Brian Laundrie’s creepy skeleton drawing “predicted” he “would burn in hell” after Gabby Petito’s murder.

The chilling image was uploaded to the 23-year-old’s Instagram last July and seems to show a bloodied skeleton.

Laundrie captioned the picture: “Who watches the Watchmen? Swipe for some Rorschach tests.”

The question: “Who watches the Watchmen?” is usually scrawled in the background of cartoon designs from the 1986 comic book series The Watchmen published by DC Comics.

One social media sleuth said: “I just realized what this is… It’s you burning in hell.”

One person wildly speculated: “He gave the devil some light and he took it and now look what he’s done.”

  • CONSPIRACY THEORY: BRIAN TOOK OVER GABBY’S INSTAGRAM

A number of commenters on a July 26 post on Gabby Petito’s Instagram account suggested that they believe Laundrie had taken over custody of her Instagram account from that point on.

They felt an alleged shift in tone and a heavier focus on Brian in later uploads was a nod to that conspiracy theory.

“I think we all think this was most likely her last post,” one said. “All the ones after this one don’t seem the same as all the ones before this one … you can tell the difference between the two of them after reading his posts on his account.”
