Nicola Sturgeon slammed for claiming Scotland faces £11billion hit from Brexit
Critics said that Ms Sturgeon herself had slated George Osborne’s doom and gloom before the June 23 vote
NICOLA STURGEON was slammed last night for reviving Project Fear by claiming Scotland’s economy faced an £11 billion hit from Brexit.
The Scottish First Minister said new figures proved that being outside the EU would make a challenging situation “worse”.
But critics immediately pointed out that her own figures showed the effect on Scotland’s output could be just £1.7 billion a year.
And they said that Ms Sturgeon herself had slated George Osborne’s doom and gloom before the June 23 vote.
Opponents claimed the SNP chief was trying to detract attention from official figures which today are expected to show Scotland has fallen further into the red under the SNP administration.
