Dad throws Brian Laundrie-themed buffet party for daughter’s first birthday with a skeleton covered in pancetta

A DAD threw a Brian Laundrie themed buffet party as he celebrated his daughter's first birthday.

Pictures uploaded to Facebook show a skeleton lying on a table that’s been covered in pancetta.

Cops found “skeletal” remains on October 20 in a Florida swamp that were positively identified as belonging to Laundrie.

Gummy worms appear to be in the skeleton’s eyeballs and mouth while there is a selection of cheese and crackers scattered on a black tablecloth.

The name “Brian Laundrie” was scrawled on a black chalkboard that’s standing next to the skeleton.

Posting in an Aldi-themed Facebook group, Jack Bersch said: “We did this with Aldi food for my daughter’s first birthday.

“If you don’t like it that’s fine. We all thought it was funny and I would understand if I’m no longer a part of this group tomorrow morning.”

The snaps were shared in several Gabby Petito Facebook groups, sparking a flurry of both positive and negative comments online.

One social media user asked: “Did your kid have fun? That’s all the matters! I think it’s very creative.”

Another commented: “It’s funny for Halloween but idt that’s a great theme for a first birthday. She might look back on that when she is older and be like wtf (sic).”

Meanwhile, the theme of the birthday party was slammed by some furious users online.

One posted: “I could understand the skeleton/Halloween theme but trying to poke fun of a situation like Gabby and Brian’s is completely unacceptable.”

Others shared GIFs of a shellshocked Homer Simpson stepping back into the bushes as they expressed their horror.

Laundrie shared eerie images of skeletons covered in plants on social media months before his remains were found.

Posts saved on his Pinterest page include images of skeletons, depictions of death, and other strange art that online sleuths claim foreshadowed his fate

Laundrie eerily appeared to share a number of images of skeleton-shaped ornaments covered in plants and foliage to a folder he called "things to burn off."

Another image showed a sketch of a human skull with a large crack visible down its forehead.

Other skeletal depictions included a coffin-shaped pin badge with a ribcage, spine, and pelvis enveloped by a large green leaf, and a skull covered by a large squid.

Another showed a stitch of a woman covered in leaves and holding a skull. A fourth showed skeletal hands reaching for a knife.

Online sleuths also trawled through Laundrie’s Instagram account before it was disabled and discovered some chilling artworks.

One such post, dated July 15, 2020, is captioned "Grim Reaper leading sheep to the slaughter" and shows a herd of sheep surrounded by ghoulish figures wielding scythes.

Some of the reapers have been carved into mousetraps and outlined in red.

A second work uploaded a week earlier, shows what appears to be a man wearing a wolf mask, sitting in a chair and holding a blood-soaked knife, with red splatters up his arms and legs.

Behind the subject's head is a red circle, with three other animal mask-wearing figures holding guns and a bat.

DISTASTEFUL COSTUMES

Sick trolls created distasteful Brian Laundrie displays with skeletons and fake graves for Halloween.

Warped social media users shared pictures showing skeletons lying in makeshift caskets - in what appears to be a likely reference to the “partial remains” cops found in the Florida wilderness last month while searching for Brian Laundrie.

Another distasteful picture shows a skeleton leaning against a tree, alongside the sign: “Breaking News, we found Brian Laundrie.”

A sick Twitter user shared a picture of a skeleton, a backpack, and a fake note that reads: “I’m sorry Gabby.”

The troll appeared to be referring to the notebook and backpack that was reportedly found as cops made their discovery.

Cops said the notebook was “salvageable”, prompting internet sleuths to speculate what may be inside. It's not known if anything is inside the journal.

Sick trolls also poked fun at Laundrie as images surfaced of people wearing laundry baskets and flowerbed costumes ahead of Halloween.

One post read: “Found my Halloween costume. I’m going to the house on Halloween!!!”

The man in the photo had a laundry basket wrapped around his waist with a bottle of detergent wedged inside.

Another photo on a different website featured a man in a green morph suit with a flower mask on top.

A flowerbed was edited on the image with the caption: “Brian Laundrie’s Halloween costume this year”.

The sick joke appeared to refer to a baseless internet theory that Laundrie was hiding in a secret bunker underneath a flower bed in his parents’ backyard. There was no evidence to support this wild claim.

Laundrie was found dead in the Florida wilderness – weeks after cops launched a nationwide manhunt.

His cause of death remains unknown as an autopsy came back inconclusive. Laundrie’s remains have been sent to an anthropologist for further examination.

He was reported missing by his parents Chris and Roberta on September 17 – days after allegedly telling them that he was going for a hike in the alligator-infested Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County.

Laundrie’s disappearance also came just days after his fiancée Gabby Petito was reported missing by her parents.

He and the 22-year-old YouTuber were weeks into a cross-country road trip touring America’s midwest when she vanished.

Gabby’s remains were found on September 19 in a Wyoming campground and a preliminary autopsy ruled that the manner of her death was a homicide.

Coroners later ruled that Gabby died from strangulation.

Investigators identified Laundrie as a person of interest in Gabby’s murder. He was never named a suspect.
