Teen boy, 13, killed after crash in £1.5million Ferrari F50 supercar on 10mph road
A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was killed in a £1.5million Ferrari F50 which crashed on a 10mph road.
The schoolboy died instantly when the 4.7 litre red supercar he was passenger in careered off the private farm road.
It ploughed through wooden bollards and a fence, flipped over and ended up in a field.
The unnamed boy is believed to have gone into traumatic cardiac arrest, usually caused by a chest injury. He could not be saved.
A 37-year-old man, named locally as Matt Cobden, was said to have been driving the 190mph sports car.
He survived the accident and was airlifted to hospital. Last night he was in a stable condition.
The teen was from Winchester and not related to Matt.
The smash happened just before 9pm on Monday between Newlyns and Lodge Farms in North Warnborough, Hants.
The crash site is yards from Matt’s luxury car storage firm Toy Stor-age, where a Ferrari F50 had been spotted the day before.
A floral tribute was placed by the broken fence yesterday, where glass and paint from the two-seater motor littered the grass.
A worker on the nearby industrial estate said he had seen the F50 parked earlier in the day.
He said: “It stands out — it’s not a car you see every day.
