Brian Laundrie’s parents spotted returning home with bag ‘made by their son & covered in his artwork’
BRIAN Laundrie’s parents were spotted returning home with a bag that web sleuths claim was made by their son and covered in his artwork.
Chris and Roberta Laundrie were pictured going into their North Port, Florida home on Tuesday after leaving days earlier to “grieve privately” at an unknown location for their 23-year-old son.
Chris, 62, carried a beach bag that contained the phrase “Peace, Joy Love” while Roberta was carrying two bags, reports.
Web sleuths appear to have spotted designs on the cream-colored bag Roberta was carrying by the handles.
One Internet detective, known as “Only me”, claimed: “Look at Roberta Laundrie’s bag. It was made by Brian Laundrie.”
It's not known who made the bag or whether the item contained Laundrie's artwork.
A bird and frog appear to be emblazoned on the bag, while sleuths believe they spotted an outline similar to Laundrie’s vine leaf tattoo.
The frog looks similar to one the fugitive uploaded to his page last August where he sketched characters from the sitcom Futurama.

He captioned the post: “Have you ever lost your page while fleeing a horde of rampaging killbots. Well not anymore with these revolutionary silvers of paper, featuring your favorite intergalactic delivery crew! Now for sale.”
And a pencil drawing of a bird accompanied drawings that appear to show blood gushing from a princess’ mouth and the horror novel Lullaby.
The caption underneath the post said: “Reading is different than any other consumption of media, it takes more effort than staring at a screen half alive, it allows you to use your brain rather than melt it, and there is no author more stimulation to me than Chuck Palahniuk.”
Laundrie's Instagram account has since been disabled.
Some web detectives claim they spotted a vine leaf tattoo on the bag.
One sleuth said: “Is that the tattoo design that GP (Gabby Petito) and BL (Brian Laundrie) had on their fingers, located in the lower right-hand corner of the bag? I can’t tell, I’m on mobile.”
Another commented: “I can’t make it out either. Something written at the top too. Can’t see that either.”
On February 14, Gabby uploaded a series of snaps documenting romantic moments with Laundrie.
The young couple was pictured kissing, eating Chinese food, and holding hands where they are showcasing "matching" tattoos.
Brian is seen with a tattoo that looks like a vine leaf on one of his fingers. It's not known when he got the artwork done.
Chris and Roberta Laundrie have not commented publicly after remains belonging to their son were positively identified by law enforcement.
A shrine to Gabby has been cleared from outside their North Port home and another makeshift memorial in the city was removed earlier this month due to damage from being exposed to the elements.
'VISIBLY UPSET'
Partial remains were unearthed almost five weeks after the 23-year-old told his parents that he was going hiking in the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County.
Cops made the discovery in a grassy stretch of land in Myakkahatchee Creek Park – which is adjacent to the reserve. It had recently been submerged in floodwaters.
The Laundrie family's attorney, Steve Bertolino, revealed last week that Brian was visibly "upset" when he left his parents' home for the last time.
He told NBC: “Brian was very upset when he left”, adding that Chris Laundrie "conveyed to me several times that he wished he hadn't let him go, but he couldn't stop him."
In a subsequent interview with , the attorney said he "couldn't answer" the reason why the 23-year-old decided to leave but added he was “distressed” at the time.
Bertolino added: “He just did not seem himself. As Roberta Laundrie pointed out you just do not know what someone is thinking inside.
"They’re looking back and trying to figure out what his disposition was that day."
It’s not known how Laundrie died as a preliminary autopsy came back inconclusive. His remains have been sent to an anthropologist for further tests.
Laundrie’s exact date of death remains unknown and Joshua Taylor, a spokesperson for North Port Police, told PEOPLE “there is a very good possibility” that Laundrie died on September 13 – the same day he told his parents he was going for a hike.
Just two days earlier, Gabby’s family reported the young vlogger missing – weeks after they lost contact.
Gabby’s body was found in a Wyoming campground on September 19. A preliminary autopsy revealed the manner of her death to be a homicide and it was later revealed that she died from strangulation.

Laundrie was never named a suspect in Gabby’s disappearance and death but was identified as a person of interest.
An arrest warrant was issued last month, accusing the 23-year-old of racking up a $1,000 balance on a debit card.
