Essex police released the image just a day after the singer's lacklustre set at V Festival which took place in the county.

Many have now taken to social media after spotting the likeness between the wanted man and the pop prince.

Hayley Everett said: "Justin Biebers causing trouble in Essex then."

Her sentiment was echoed by Matt De La Gruyere who said: "Is it too late now to say sorry?"

The image was released after a gang accosted a 19-year-old woman in Colchester, Essex.

A balaclava-clad man and two accomplices approached the victim asked if she had any money, before grabbing her and making sexually suggestive remarks.

Thankfully she escaped unharmed, but fell as she fled.

Cops are now hunting a skinny, mixed race man who stands 6ft tall.

The man wearing the balaclava is described as white with blue eyes, possibly a pierced right eyebrow and was around 6ft tall.

The second suspect was white, aged in his late 20s, around 6ft tall, with brown short hair and a "stretcher" piercing in his right ear.

An Essex police spokesman said: "A 19-year-old woman was walking along Avon Way in Colchester, near to Alefounder Walk, between 8.30pm and 9pm on Saturday July 30 when she was approached by three men, one of whom was wearing a balaclava.

"Witnesses to the incident or anyone who recognises the men from the description can contact Essex Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
