: "My plan a few months ago was to buy a house and do it up together. Then, I was going to ask her to marry me and the following year get married and try for children.
"So when Anna was lying there in the hospital bed, it was breaking me that I couldn't marry her and make her my wife; give her the wedding day she really wanted.
"When I explained my plans to a nurse she said 'we can get a vicar to give you a blessing of your relationship', which was amazing. The lift that it gave me was amazing.
"It could never be a legal wedding or anything like that, but for me to be able to give Anna my nan's engagement ring and slide it onto her finger, to me, she's now my wife even if it's not officially legal.
"It was a special moment in my life. I just hope she could hear us and hear our song that we played through my phone."
Anna's family only recently discovered she was on the organ donor register - a move that has already helped six patients in the last few days.
Greg added: "Never ever miss that kiss, that cuddle and saying I love you to the ones you live.
"If I hadn't have said that to Anna, I'd be in such a deeper and nastier place in my head right now, but knowing that every day she knew I loved her and she loved me makes me feel so special."
Macclesfield FC has also paid tribute to Miss Ledgar and has launched a page.
Proceeds from this will go towards her family's designated charity.
