Brian Laundrie ‘belongings found on Myakkahatchee Creek Park trail by parents’ as coroner and cadaver dogs called out
BRIAN Laundrie's personal items were found by his own parents on a trail he often used, according to reports.
Cadaver dogs joined the hunt for the fugitive in Myakkahatchee Creek Park on Wednesday morning as the coroner also arrived and a tent was established around the scene.
The fugitive's parents discovered a white bag and a dark-colored object in a patch of brambles, reported.
Partial human remains have also now been found in the search for Laundrie, reported.
Laundrie has been on the run since September 13, two days after Gabby Petito's family reported his fiancee missing.
She was found strangled to death in Wyoming on September 19 after a national search for the 22-year-old vlogger.
Laundrie, 23, is a person of interest in her death.
The FBI issued a warrant for his arrest on September 24 for reportedly using Gabby's bank card in the days after she was last seen alive.
His parents Chris and Roberta Laundrie joined the search at the creek on Wednesday, as it was closed again just one day after being reopened to the public.

Family attorney Steven Bertolino confirmed that the Laundries told the FBI they were going to search the park this morning and met officers there.
He said that "some articles belonging to Brian were found."

It's unclear what was found by officers, but the items were found near to a trial Brian was known to use.
Chris and Roberta Laundrie searched with the officers for a while before breaking away by themselves.
Fox reports that they found the white bag and dark-colored object at a clearing near the edge of the brush.
They put the object into the bag and handed it over to law enforcement who carried it away from the scene.

Video of the search shared by Fox showed Laundrie's parents speaking with an officer on a dirt track.
Roberta Laundrie, wearing a red backpack, appeared to wipe a tear from Chris' face as they spoke to officials.
The officer also places his hand on Chris Laundrie's shoulder during the exchange.
'REMAINS FOUND'
A senior law enforcement official told that what appears to be partial human remains were found in the Carlton Reserve, which is connected to the Myakkahatchee Creek where Brian's belongings were earlier found.
This location was previously underwater. The source told the outlet that the remains were found near a backpack.
However, the remains have not yet been identified or connected to Brian Laundrie.
Bertolino answered "no comment" when asked if a body has been found in the creek.
Laundrie's parents appeared emotional as they left the creek and were confronted by protesters at around 8.45am.
He said in a statement: "Chris and Roberta Laundrie went to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park this morning to search for Brian.
"The FBI and NPPD were informed last night of Brian’s parents’ intentions and they met Chris and Roberta there this morning after a brief search off a trail that Brian frequented some articles belonging to Brian were found.
"As of now law enforcement is conducting a more thorough investigation of that area," he added.
A large police presence was observed at the reserve on Wednesday, including mobile command units, patrol vehicles, and a helicopter hovering overhead.
BRIAN LAUNDRIE MANHUNT
and Gabby, who met in before moving to two years ago, were around two months into their planned four-month cross-country road trip touring the US’ national parks before Gabby vanished sometime around August 27.
Brian quietly returned home to Florida alone on September 1, failing to alert police or Gabby’s family that she was missing.
He reportedly acted "without a care in the world" upon his return, neighbors said, mowing the front yard and enjoying idyllic bike rides with his mom.
Gabby was eventually reported missing by her mother in New York on September 11. That came after 10 days of allegedly being stonewalled by Brian and his parents about where her daughter was, she said.
Then, on September 14, Brian allegedly vanished after telling his parents he was going hiking at Carlton Reserve.
But they didn’t report Brian missing until three days later.
BRIAN LAUNDRIE SIGHTINGS
A month-long search for Laundrie has so far yielded no leads beyond speculation and a handful of potential sightings.
Laundrie is not currently considered a suspect in Gabby's murder but is considered a person of interest.
He does, however, have a warrant out for his arrest on bank fraud allegations after allegedly racking up $1,000 in charges on a debit card that's believed to have belonged to Gabby.
Last week, autopsy results revealed that Gabby Petito was strangled up to four weeks before her body was found.
The manner of her death was ruled a homicide, but the autopsy report has revealed information on her cause of death.
Teton County Coroner Dr Brent Blue confirmed that died by strangulation during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
He added that Gabby's predicted death was three to four weeks before her body was found. The body was outside "in the wilderness" for this time.
The doctor also confirmed that Gabby Petito was not pregnant at the time of her death and that a toxicology report was unable to be released at this time.
Following the autopsy, the young woman's body was returned to the mortuary who are dealing with the family at this time, the doctor added.
Following the results of the autopsy, Brian Laundrie's family attorney, Steve Bertolino, released a statement saying: "Gabby Petito’s death at such a young age is a tragedy.
"While Brian Laundrie is currently charged with the unauthorized use of a debit card belonging to Gabby, Brian is only considered a person of interest in relation to Gabby Petito’s demise.

"At this time Brian is still missing and when he is located we will address the pending fraud charge against him."
Dr Blue declined to say more about the autopsy or the case overall, saying he was prevented by law that limits what coroners can release.

Brian Laundrie has not been seen since the morning of September 13. Here is a timeline of Laundrie's latest whereabouts:
- July 2021: Brian Laundrie and his fiancé Gabby Petito leave for a grip across the country. The couple visit numerous national parks across the way.
- August 12: Police in Utah respond to an incident involving the couple. The bodycam footage is not released for another month but it shows a visibly upset Gabby talking to police after reports of a domestic violence incident outside a grocery store.
- August 24: Gabby is seen leaving a hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah, with Laundrie.
- September 1: Laundrie returns to his home in North Port, Florida without Gabby.
- September 6: Laundrie joins his family on a camping trip about 75 miles from their home in North Port.
- September 11: Gabby's family reports her missing.
- September 13: Laundrie leaves home to go hiking in Carlton Reserve, Florida. His family had initially said he departed on September 14, but revised their timeline weeks later.
- September 15: Laundrie is named a person of interest in the case of Gabby.
- September 16: Bodycam footage is released regarding the incident between Gabby and Laundrie.
- September 19: The FBI announces a body found at a Wyoming national park is believed to be that of Gabby's.
- September 23: The FBI issued a warrant for Laundrie's arrest claiming he "used unauthorized debit cards after Gabby Petito's death."
- September 26: A funeral is held for Gabby in New York.
- September 27: Dog the Bounty Hunter announces he will lend a hand and help search for Laundrie.
- September 28: Gabby's family held an emotional press conference as the search for Laundrie continued.
- October 5: Laundrie's sister, Cassie, appeared on Good Morning America and urged her brother to come forward.
- October 7: Laundrie's father, Chris Laundrie, assisted law enforcement in the search to find his son.
- October 12: Gabby's autopsy results were made public. Teton County Coroner Dr Brent Blue confirmed Gabby died by strangulation.
- October 20: Laundrie's personal items were found near the Myakkahatchee Creek Park trail in Florida. The medical examiner was called to the scene to investigate.
