According to reports the woman accelerated at high speed hitting four other vehicles.

She then took a sharp turn before crashing the white Merc on its side.

The incident happened on Friday morning in the US state of Virginia.

Police in Virginia were called to the forecourt, and found amazingly, no one was hurt.

Local news site said: “We’re told that the driver was just beginning a test drive, in the dealership parking lot, and might have mistaken the gas pedal for the brake.

“She crashed into four vehicles before the SUV rolled onto its side. “Four people who were in the SUV at the time managed to get out before police and firefighters arrived, we’re told. One dealership worker was evaluated by medics for a possible back injury. No one was seriously hurt.”

Earlier this month we told how a former fire chief has been left devastated after his beloved Porsche was written off by an ’18-year-old mechanic’ taking it for a test drive during a routine MOT.

Peter Ludlow, 56, expected to pick up his beloved Boxster S from the garage, but instead he received a grovelling phone call to say his car had been destroyed in a crash.

Mr Ludlow, who bought the car for £46,000 when it had 110,000 miles on the clock, five years ago, said: “That Porsche meant everything to me.

“After my divorce and having been estranged from my children it was all I had left.

“I gave it to them at eight in the morning and they were going to give it a full service and drive to the MOT station.

“They split it up the middle, it’s dead.”

The former fireman has since accepted £12,000 from the garage’s insurers for the eight-year-old car, which he believes was worth roughly £26,000.

Peter has claimed that engineers in the Kent garage gave the car an 18-year-old, believed to be the owner’s son, who drove it at 65mph into the path of a Ford Fiesta
