A SOBBING wife has revealed that she told her abusive husband "don't do it again" before knifing him after a final "taunt over bubble and squeak".
Penelope Jackson, 66, killed David Jackson, 78, when he "kicked off" during a Zoom call with her daughter and son-in-law at her birthday party.

The abused wife told jurors her husband was angry because she made bubble and squeak alongside the lobster, crab and steak meal they had.
Bristol Crown Court heard how the row was the ";final straw" as Jackson had always hid his 20-year abuse from her daughter.
She said: "I was absolutely horrified that he was being so nasty. The conversation which had been loud and chatty, just died.
"I said don't do this again and started to cry and I went to the side and I was crying quietly.
"I was just inside, in bits - my whole birthday being ruined - all over bubble and squeak.";
The court was told Jackson "frighteningly" took herself to her bedroom with a kitchen knife and intended to take her own life.

She told jurors her marriage had "just imploded" and the years of her "putting up with the violence, the unwanted sex, the belittling, stopping me doing things, all the horrible things" had been for nothing.
But instead she took the blade into David's room to make him "feel some responsibility" for everything he had put her through.
Jackson said: "He just said 'oh for God sake, you are pathetic, either get on with it or go back to bed'.
"I was in utter despair. He literally couldn't be bothered - it was utter, utter contempt.
"I just lost it - I just thought I can not do this. It is not fair and I lost control and went like that [stabbing motion].
"He said, 'well come on then' and I just lost it. I don't know why I did it. I've never been violent in my life.
"He just looked at me. He sat up and there was blood. I was absolutely horrified. I went out of the bedroom and knew what I had done. It was totally wrong."
'LOST ALL CONTROL'
The court was told Jackson followed her to the kitchen and called her pathetic, saying: "You couldn't even get that right".
Jackson then started stabbing the retired lieutenant colonel again and later told 999 operators she was "not doing anything to help him".
She could also be heard in the 18-minute call saying she killed David because "I've had enough".
Jackson, who admitted she was "ashamed" of what she said during the call, also told the operator she thought she had stabbed him in the heart - but added: "He doesn't have one."
After she was arrested, bodycam footage showed her telling police she "should have stabbed him a bit more" as he lay bleeding to death in the kitchen.
Jackson told jurors: "I didn't mean to do it, I didn't think about it. It just happened and if I could give anything to give it back I would.
"He just goaded and goaded me, almost like he wanted me to do it.
"He had shown contempt for me about being horrible over retched potatoes. He had never done that in front of Isabelle ever. I had hidden it from her the whole of my married life.
"I have lived in fear and shame and denied what happened to me for many years. As always, I said I accept my punishment. I had stabbed my husband. I didn't mean to but I just lost all control."
