Gabby Petito’s killer ‘is likely identified and there may be sealed indictment for arrest,’ ex-FBI agent suggests

A FORMER FBI agent has claimed Gabby Petito's killer has probably been identified and there may be a sealed indictment for their arrest. 

Stuart Kaplan said now Petito’s death has been ruled a homicide and the cause has been determined as strangulation, a suspect will have been named behind closed doors.

: "This can of course include him (Brian Laundrie) as being the attacker or responsible person for causing Gabby Petito’s death or it could exclude him."

Laundrie remains the only named person of interest in the death of Gabby.

Cops also want him for the unauthorized use of her debit card.

Criticism has been mounting that the case is slow-moving.

But Mr Kaplan said: "I think they have moved this investigation quite expeditiously.

"Every procedural part of this case could be subject to questioning or challenged in the court of law and law enforcement only has one opportunity to do it right and get it right."

In images shared by the couple online they are all smiles — barefoot in a canyon or surveying the ochre rocks of state and national parks.

In one YouTube video published during their trip, Petito and Laundrie are shown kissing tenderly, enjoying a sunset together and strolling on a beach.
