Five unanswered questions surrounding Gabby Petito’s murder after Brian Laundrie’s remains found

THE case surrounding Gabby Petito’s murder has gripped Americans but many unanswered questions remain after FBI detectives found Brian Laundrie’s remains.

From the exact date of the vlogger's death to the mystery of the toxicology report, there are several issues authorities are yet to address.

Gabby was reported missing by her family on September 11 – weeks after starting a cross-country road trip with her fiancé Laundrie.

They toured America’s midwest visiting canyon ranges and national parks in Colorado, Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming.

Laundrie returned to Florida alone on September 1 – days after the couple allegedly had an argument in a Tex-Mex restaurant in Jackson, Wyoming – and within weeks, he was reported missing also.

The "incident" at the Merry Piglets restaurant is believed to be one of the last times that Gabby was seen alive.

On September 19, FBI detectives found the vlogger's remains at a Wyoming campground and a preliminary autopsy ruled the manner of her death to be a homicide.

After a near-five week search scouring the alligator-infested Carlton Reserve, FBI detectives found a “partial skull” and were able to identify it as belonging to the fugitive using his dental records.

Laundrie's cause of death remains unknown but sleuths and former detectives speculated that he may have been eaten by alligators.

Detectives arrived at the Laundrie family home on Thursday evening to tell his parents Chris and Roberta that the skeletal remains found yesterday were their son.
