Brian Laundrie – Theory that fugitive is hiding in bunker in parents’ garden ‘is 100% plausible,’ survival expert says

A BIZARRE online theory that claims Brian Laundrie could be holed up in a bunker under his parents' garden is "100percent plausible," according to a survival expert.

The search for the missing fugitive has led investigators to all corners of the Southeast, from the Appalachian trail to Fort De Soto Park in Florida to the Carlton Reserve.

, Brian could have stayed close to home.

Some online sleuths who poured over surveillance footage of the Laundrie family home in North Port, Florida from underneath the flower bed.

Others say a white-colored square pit seen in the garden could be an underground bunker.

While the theory seems far-fetched, survival expert Gary Lynch, the owner of Texas-based Rising S Company, told it may have some weight.

"The possibility of having a bunker there, his parents having a bunker, is absolutely 100% plausible," he said.

"You probably have 1%, or less than 1%, of the United States has bunkers. But that being said, if they have a bunker, it could be highly likely.

""It’s not a problem, You just have to make them heavy enough that they don't float out."

Lynch is more skeptical that a camera caught the emerging hand: "However, that being said, it didn't look anything like if a hand came out of the bunker to me."

And his personal belief still remains that Brian wanted to put distance between himself and North Port.

"My own opinion is he's gotten as far away from Florida as he could possibly go."

GRUESOME DETAILS

It comes as the were released on Tuesday, confirming

"We hereby find the cause and manner of death to be, the cause, death by strangulation, and manner is homicide," .

"By Wyoming state statute, no other information will be released about the autopsy."

Blue added that her body was for three to four weeks before it was found near a campground in Grand Teton National Park.

The announcement also confirmed that the at the time of her death, laying to rest an online theory.

Following the release of the autopsy results, the Laundrie family's attorney Steve Bertolino also put out a statement in response.

"Gabby Petito’s death at such a young age is a tragedy," it read.

"While Brian Laundrie is currently charged with the unauthorized use of a debit card belonging to Gabby, Brian is only considered a person of interest in relation to Gabby Petito’s demise.

"At this time Brian is still missing and when he is located we will address the pending fraud charge against him."

HOT PURSUIT

Meanwhile, , who has been named a "person of interest" in the case of his fiance's murder.

A warrant for his arrest was issued after cops found that between August 31 and September 1.

Brian was first reported missing on September 17 after allegedly telling his parents he was going for a hike in the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota, Florida.

Cops continue to scour the area, as Bertolino has revealed that Brian's father Christopher Laundrie will join cops in their search.

He told Fox News: “Chris Laundrie was asked to assist law enforcement in their search for Brian at the preserve today.

"Since the preserve has been closed to the public, Chris has not been able to look for Brian in the only place Chris and Roberta believe Brian may be.”

The lawyer claimed that cops had to "postpone" Laundrie's participation and said Chris didn't take part in the search.

Josh Taylor, of the North Port Police Department, said his team didn’t ask for Christopher’s involvement and police didn’t “postpone” it.

He told Fox News: “In no world would we be the agency asking the family to help search in an FBI-led investigation.”

He declined to say whether cops had invited Christopher to join the search before the FBI took over the case.
