A CHILLING video showing an Oklahoma dentist grabbing a slice of pizza while holding the limp body of his mistress' son after allegedly bashing the baby to death has emerged.
Bert Franklin was arrested and charged with the murder of 19-month-old Lincoln Van Henry Lewis with the 35-year-old allegedly having bashed the baby's head into the ground before kicking the defenceless bub.
Prosecutors have sensationally showed the new surveillance video from inside the home in court, saying the footage shows part of the July attack.
In the obscured video, Franklin can be seen carrying baby Lincoln's limp body as he grabs some pizza.
Prosecutors allege that the philandering father, seen to be kicking something in the video, was actually kicking the baby.
Lewis' mother, who was home at the time of the attack, said she heard a loud thud but Franklin told her he had been throwing a ball to the dog.
It wasn't until about 2 the next morning that Lewis' mother tried to wake her baby for his bottle that she realised something was wrong.
After the alleged attack, the little baby was taken to Mercy Hospital before being airlifted to Tulsa Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Franklin was arrested just a few days later.
Franklin, who was married with four children, had been dating Lewis' mother Roxanne Randall for about a year.
Prosecutors have since alleged that the July 17 attack may have been motivated by Franklin feeling upset because his girlfriend had been spending time with Lewis' biological father.
Despite Franklin pleading to be released from prison on a bond, prosecutors further argued that the accused killer would be a flight risk as he had lost everything, including his Tulsa dental practise.
Franklin has further been accused of sending abusive text message's to Lewis' biological father.
reported that Franklin had sent the biological father of Lewis threatening messages, including threats to "skin him in Bricktown" and that he would cut his penis off.
Detectives have said Franklin's wife and mistress were not aware of each other.
: "Hopefully in the near future after we get through the preliminary hearing, we'll re-urge the motion and I think it will be successful."
He said he was not surprised by what was on the surveillance video, AOL reported.
An autopsy has since revealed the little boy suffered severe swelling and trauma to his brain, as well as haemorrhaging in both eyes caused by a pair of skull fractures.
The family has since set up a for the family of Lincoln.
