THE ringleader of eco-mob Insulate Britain has admitted he's a "hypocrite" who "doesn't care" about insulating homes.

Liam Norton - who stormed off Good Morning Britain after a clash with Susanna Reid - is masterminding the M25 protests that are causing misery to motorists.

But The Sun exclusively revealed he doesn't insulate his own home - and he's now admitted he's "terrible" for failing to practice what he preaches.

Campaigners want the Government to fully fund the insulation of all social housing by 2025.

But electrician Norton’s property uses gas central heating and is single-glazed, with no insulation in cavity walls, a report reveals.

In a chat on talkRADIO, presenter Cristo Foufas asked Norton why he still hadn't insulated his home.

The eco yob instantly replied: "Because I'm a hypocrite."

Cristo said it was a "reasonable accusation" considering Norton's campaigining.

Norton replied: "Yeah, I know. I'm terrible aren't I."

Baffled by the response, Cristo pressed him further, asking: "Do you understand why people will think, well, this guy doesn't care about insulation, he only cares about causing disruption and trying to make a name for himself?"

"Yeah, they're right," Norton said.

"I don't particularly care about insulation."

His response will no doubt infuriate those who have faced lengthy delays on Britain's biggest motorway thanks to his protesters.

'I DON'T CARE'

Insulate Britain returned to the M25 yesterday and glued their hands to the road - despite a High Court injunction that could see them jailed.

Hours later, Transport for London obtained yet another order banning them from obstructing traffic in 14 locations across the capital, including Vauxhall Bridge, Tower Bridge and Chiswick roundabout.

And Norton told talkRADIO today that protesters have no idea why they haven't yet been arrested.

Asked how he feels about a mum who suffered a stroke in a traffic jam and a daughter seen in tears at the blockade as she tried to reach her desperately ill mother in hospital, he said: "There's a consequence to disruption and to the kind of disruption we've seen over the past four weeks.

"We're just as mystified as the rest of the British public as to why Priti Patel hasn't put us into prison.

"She's got the ability to remand us into prison for public nuisance, criminal damage, and the British people should be asking why they haven't chosen to do that, as we're just as mystified as anyone else."

Norton left GMB in a strop in late September after he was quizzed by Susanna and Richard Madeley.

Susanna had warned him not to "patronise" her as she asked why his property wasn't insulated.

MISERY FOR MOTORISTS

And Norton bizarrely said he was just like Winston Churchill, with Richard replying hotly: "You're comparing yourself to Churchill?

"That is the most twisted parallel I think I have ever heard."

Elsewhere, new evidence has this week emerged of the public's growing anger at the protests.

YouGov polls found that 72 per cent of Brits oppose their actions, up from 59 per cent when the protests first began in mid-September.

And after three weeks of protest, the group has only made more people think they're actually hindering their own cause - up from 64 per cent in September to 73 per cent now.
