China warns it will ‘fight to the death’ against Taiwan’s allies after warning WW3 could be sparked at any time
CHINA has promised it will "fight to the death" against Taiwan’s allies after warning global war could be triggered "at any time".
A sabre-rattling article in the Communist regime-run Global Times said "no force dares" to fight against the Chinese nuclear-armed military.
China regards Taiwan as being part of its territory and has vowed to reunite the island with the mainland, by force if necessary.
In recent days, China sent a record number of warplanes into Taiwan’s air defence identification zone, in drills widely seen as part of invasion rehearsals.
Today, in an editorial in the state-run , the Communist regime spelled out its readiness to fight the United States and other Western democracies that support the island's independence.
It reads: "Their fate is bound to be a catastrophe when they attempt to separate Taiwan from China.
"There is no force in the world whose will to ‘defend Taiwan’ is stronger than China's will to fight against secession and achieve reunification.
"To be precise, they are completely incomparable."

The editorial continues: "China dares to have a life-and-death fight against any force that hinders our reunification.
"But no force dares or is willing to fight to the death against the world's second-largest economy, as well as a nuclear power, in order to prevent China's reunification."
The article also slammed what it viewed as Taiwan "acting as a strategic outpost against China" in exchange for US protection adding that it was "the craziest gamble in the history of international politics".
Writing for the , President of Taiwan Tsai Ing-wen warned of the implications for the internal community should China invade.
She wrote: "They should remember that if Taiwan were to fall, the consequences would be catastrophic for regional peace and the democratic alliance system.
"It would signal that in today’s global contest of values, authoritarianism has the upper hand over democracy.”
"Taiwan does not seek military confrontation. It hopes for peaceful, stable, predictable, and mutually beneficial coexistence with its neighbors.
"But if its democracy and way of life are threatened, Taiwan will do whatever it takes to defend itself."
Meanwhile, the island's foreign minister Chiu Kuo-cheng has said China will soon be capable of mounting a full-scale invasion of Taiwan,
Chiu said the relationship between Taiwan and China was at its lowest for forty years.

While Beijing can't mount an invasion that will soon change, he warned.
Chiu said he feared that by "2025, China will bring the cost and attrition to its lowest".
"For me as a military man, the urgency is right in front of me".
At the same time, an armada of aircraft carriers, including HMS Queen Elizabeth, were taking part in wargames in the region.
