Five theories about where Brian Laundrie could be hiding as sleuths are convinced he got ‘private charter to Costa Rica’
BRIAN Laundrie sleuths have suggested many theories about where he could be but recently claimed he took "a private charter to Costa Rica."
Gabby, 22, and Laundrie were around two months into their planned four-month cross-country road trip touring national parks around the when the vlogger vanished sometime around August 27.
Today, Reddit users wondered where Laundrie could be hiding on the General Discussion thread - with some claiming he could be long gone from the country.
"At this point, I'm guessing private charter to Costa Rica or similar," one person said. "The Mustang was a plant. Who ever [sic] drove it (most likely dad) walked back home via Big Slough."
This unconfirmed claim was an apparent reference to the silver Mustang seized by the FBI on September 20, which Laundrie had reportedly driving to Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park the day he went missing.
"[Laundrie] had way too much time," the user continued. "[The] only perplexing part was the camping trip. I don't think his parents knew then and [he] was still trying to act semi-normal.
"Wasted a week but apparently [he] didn't need it."
However, others dismissed this theory and pointed out that Laundrie's face was "all over the news" in South America, meaning he would be recognized by people there.
The Sun has reached out to the Laundrie family lawyer Steven Bertolino for comment on Monday who had no comment on the Costa Rica theory.
"No known location for Brian," Bertolino said in an email.
The Laundries until September 17, claiming they last saw him on September 14. near a campground in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
Bertolino had no comment as to why the Laundries reported Brian missing three days after he vanished on a hike.
Here are the top five theories about where Gabby's missing boyfriend could be in the wake of the Costa Rica claim.

CARLTON RESERVE
claim that they last saw their missing son on September 14 when he didn't return from a hike at the 24,000-acre .
But former Deputy for the LA Sheriff's office Mike Hadsell suspects that after the lengthy search “Laundrie's probably not there" and highlighted the lack of tracks they found. They've still found nothing as of today.
Likewise, private eye Warner isn’t sold on Laundrie being able to duck the law for over a week at the reserve, while surviving the alligator and snake infested terrain.
Warner said that there is the possibility that "he's dead in the Carlton Reserve, that he went in there to kill himself.
"But that doesn't seem to be true either. Because they've searched through every inch of the Carlton Reserve for over a week and they found nothing, even when there were dogs," he added.
