SHAMIMA Begum has transformed from jihadi to a lipstick-wearing "Love Islander" as she appeared in her first live broadcast today.

The former ISIS bride, 22, spoke on Good Morning Britain wearing a black Nike baseball cap, a grey vest top and lipstick along with her hair down.

Her look was completely different in comparison to her previous interviews where she appeared with a hijab and no makeup.

Social media users took it to Twitter to comment on her new looks and some even compared her to Love Island contestants.

One said: "Shamima Begum has had a major glow up. I bet she’s on Love Island next year."

Another said: "Shamima Begum on GMB wearing a Nike baseball cap from their newest line. They got an outlet store in the prison camp?"

Someone added: "Shamima begum will be applying for love island next."

Another user said: "shamima begum got herself dressed up ready to join love island in a PR stunt to prove she's no longer a terrorist."

Shamima left the UK to join the death cult with two school friends at age 15 before living in the group's so-called caliphate after marrying a Dutch-born fighter.

After ISIS were defeated, the Brit re-emerged in February 2019 in al-Hawl refugee camp in north-eastern Syria desperate to return to the UK - but showed little remorse for her involvement with the terrorist organisation.

Since being interviewed several times by western media, body language expert Judi James gave The Sun Online her assessment of Shamima's changing appearance.

Earlier this year, Judi said."Everything here seems to be presenting Begum in a very different way, from her more westernized clothing to her body language and her style of speech.

"She now walks with confidence and her gesticulation is emphatic. She wears a very casual t-shirt, jeans and a baseball cap and her speech has speeded up and now shows an ability to share humour and quick-fire responses.

"She shows she has been watching popular US TV programmes like Friends, even exchanging banter about whether she prefers Joey or Chandler.

"This all seems to project a desire to integrate if she is allowed to come back into the UK."

In 2019, the Government stripped Shamima of her British citizenship based on security grounds, with the Supreme Court unanimously ruling she could not return to the UK.

She then lost her court appeal earlier this year and has since been making bids to appear deradicalised.

Earlier today, Shamima suggested a country should not banish someone for a mistake they made when they were 15 - and said she would "rather die" than go back to Isis.

The Londoner said: "If ISIS were to come back now, if they were to come to the gates now and say, 'who wants to join us?' and 'whoever doesn’t join us, we’ll kill them'.

"I’d rather die. I’d rather die than go back to Isis."

Wearing a strappy top, with painted nails and her hair down, Shamima suggested she was too young to fully understand what she was doing when she joined IS - and said she was easily impressionable.

"I think yes, I was groomed and taken advantage of and manipulated into coming," she told GMB.

And she said that at the time she did not know Isis "was a death cult".

She added: "I thought it was an Islamic community that I was joining.
