Mom of missing Gabby Petito says daughter’s boyfriend has IGNORED her frantic calls after she vanished on road trip
THE worried mom of missing road tripper Gabby Petito has claimed that her daughter's boyfriend ignored her desperate calls as they try to find her.
Nicole Schmidt said she tried to contact the 22-year-old's boyfriend , 23, on September 10 - a day before Gabby was officially reported missing.
, of Long Island, and Laundrie had started a cross-country road trip in July, where they toured national parks.
Schmidt last heard from her daughter on August 25 as Gabby and Laundrie were heading to Wyoming - weeks before the vlogger was reported missing.
She told : "I texted Brian's mom that I was trying to get in touch with Gabby. I also texted Brian. I got no replies."
has not responded to The Sun's request for comment.
The distraught mom said Brian’s parents were caring towards Gabby and “treated her like one of the family”.
Laundrie has since returned to following the couple's road trip.
He has not been named as a suspect or person of interest in the case.

Gabby’s family slammed Laundrie for allegedly refusing to help in the search – after his parents reportedly told police that he’s “not available” to talk.

A statement, issued by his attorney Steve Bertolino, states: "This is an extremely difficult time for both the Petito family and the Laundrie family.
"I understand that a search has been organized for Miss Petito in or near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
"On behalf of the Laundrie family, it is our hope that the search for Miss Petito is successful and that Miss Petito is reunited with her family.
"On the advice of counsel, the Laundrie family is remaining in the background at this juncture and will have no further comment."
'FIND GABBY'
Gabby's family begged the Laundrie family to assist in finding their daughter as they issued a statement in response.
It said: "The Schmidt and Petito family are going through the worst moments of their lives. Their beautiful twenty-two-year-old daughter is missing and the one person that can help find Gabby refuses to help."
They begged Laundrie’s family “not to remain in the background” but to help find who he referred to as the love of his life.
Gabby's worried friends have called on Laundrie to help in the search as they flooded his Instagram page.
Her dad Joseph told WPTV that he would do whatever it takes to find her.
He said: "Pride isn't an issue right now. My only daughter is missing."

It comes after cops seized the couple’s white Ford Transit van in North Port, Florida during the weekend of September 11.
The vehicle is being searched for fingerprints and clues by detective teams.
Detectives are investigating the case but say the circumstances behind the 22-year-old’s disappearance are “odd”.
Cops told : “We currently have no definitive information that a crime took place here in North Port.”
Gabby and Laundrie started their road trip on July 2 and planned to visit Portland, so they could visit a friend for Halloween.
She was last seen on August 24 after leaving a hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Gabby messaged her mom a day later as they were heading to Wyoming.
The pair converted their van into a camper and documented their experiences on social media, reports.
said living out of the van "was the best decision" the couple had ever made.
They started a YouTube channel called "Nomadic Statik" where they shared their journey with fans.
The first and only video on the channel has been viewed nearly 235,000 times.
The pair visited Colorado Springs and many national parks in Utah but left the state due to the risk of wildfires.
