Hillary is set to make an appearance at the 2024 Democratic National Convention

AFTER losing the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton stepped back from the limelight and began pursuing other projects.

Clinton, who was once first lady and secretary of state, now serves as the 11th chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast and has continued to show support for members of the Democratic party.

Where is Hillary Clinton now?

Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, Hillary will show her support for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris at the Democratic National Convention.

During the week of August 19, 2024, Hillary will make an appearance at the Chicago event alongside her husband, former President Bill Clinton, according to .

Hillary is expected to deliver a speech on Monday, August 19.

Their speculated dual appearance comes after the Clintons publicly backed the presidential nominee.

"We join millions of Americans in thanking President Biden for all he has accomplished, standing up for America time and again, with his North Star always being what's best for the country," they wrote, in part.

"We are honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris and will do whatever we can to support her."

Outside of the political realm, Hillary is also preparing for the release of her latest book, Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love, and Liberty, which will debut in September.

Who else will appear at the Democratic National Convention?

The 2024 Democratic National Convention, or DNC, is due to kick off on Monday, August 19, 2024, in Chicago.

The event will last four days, ending on Thursday, August 22.

Outside of Hillary and Bill Clinton's appearances, the event will also see other appearances from other Democratic politicians.

President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama are among confirmed attendees, reports.

Jason Carter, grandson of former President Jimmy Carter, is also said to be speaking at the event.

The event comes less than a month after Vice President Kamala Harris secured the official Democratic nomination following Biden's decision to step down from the election.

Harris' newly named vice presidential nominee, Tim Walz, will also appear at the event.

Who is Hillary Clinton?

Hillary is an American politician, author, diplomat, and attorney.

She served as the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013 and as a US Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009.

From 1993 to 2001, she was the first lady of the US alongside her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
