Hate cleric Anjem Choudary’s bid to become a ‘Del Boy-style’ market trader was blocked
HATE preacher Anjem Choudary is fuming after his bid to become a “Del Boy-style” market trader was blocked.
The convicted terrorist, 54, wants to flog shoes and clothes on a stall, but was turned down by authorities.
It comes just weeks after his gagging order ended — allowing him to speak in public for the first time in almost six years.
He moaned about his difficulties finding a job after he was jailed for 5½ years in 2016 for encouraging Muslims to join IS.
Choudary said he applied as part of his Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangement, administered by the Public Protection Unit, alongside the probation and prison services, and police.
The former al-Muhajiroun leader, from East London, told The Sun: “All the jobs I have tried to get, the police or MAPPA have said, ‘No, that is not suitable’.
“Before I even apply for a job, the employer has to speak to the Home Office to apply for a licence to be able to pay me.
“Then I have to inform them I am a convicted terrorist. Who is going to do that?
The thought of Anjem Choudary as some sort of Del Boy figure would raise quite a few eyebrows.
